So here we are two weeks later....I went to Robinson's and picked up new plants on Friday night. I was a little disappointed because the variety of tomatoes was much worse than on Memorial Day weekend. On Saturday morning I took a closer look at the garden and it looked like the stuff that turned brown was showing some new growth. I briefly considered giving them a second chance but decided that was nonsense as that would probably put me several weeks behind. I also went to Stein's for a few supplies and a Strawberry plant.
Sunday....I scored about 25 gallons of great compost from my sister. She said Neenah has tons of it right now and they keep putting it out. I mixed that in and got my re-planting knocked out. Here's a few snaps...
Hmm...after looking at this one, I'm not very good at spacing stuff out. I'll have to do some measuring next year.
Top row is tomatoes.
Middle row is 2 jalapenos and 2 more tomatoes
Bottom row is cucumbers to the right and bush beans in the open area on the left.
On the back patio...Strawberry plant in the white pot and peppers in the black. Some looking better than the others and the smallest one in its own personal greenhouse. The one on top right is in really bad shape....I'm about to give up on it.
More peppers. Again the smaller ones still in the "greenhouse".
Close up....note the coloring on the leaves...very dark green and white. I suspect do to crummy weather we've been having.
Another close up....this is probably my best looking pepper right now.
And in the front yard...
Top left - Habanero from Henry
Bottom left - banana peppers from Henry
And the 2 white pots on the right are some cherry tomatoes from my sister. They need to be hardened off yet...fairly small, but healthy!!
